Note from the Artist: I have thought of doing an Alpenglow painting for many years. It's an incredibly brief moment in time and one that is pure magic. I've been treated to multiple sightings of Alpenglow this winter, it appeared almost every evening for several wonderful weeks. This tipped the scales and I decided to tackle the image. Lots of detail in this piece. Each and every tiny tree needed to be painted more than once and then further defined to finish. Yep, hand cramps! Still great fun to work with such wild and wonderful subject matter.
