Note from the Artist: This painting was on the boards as a simple drawing for a few months. I always had a vision for it but for some reason it took awhile to solidify. When I head up to my studio in the morning and sit down to paint, I sometimes think of myself as similar to a writer. I am telling a story, not with words but with images, colors, shapes. I love falling into the world I am creating for a few hours, fully immersed in my own imagination. That was particularly true of this piece. When I finished it, I thought well, that's a pretty good story.
