Deer and other antler bearing animals shed their antlers each spring, regrowing a new set by the breeding season in autumn. The shed antlers can be found in the forest, like gifts from the wild. This annual renewal and regrowth reminds me that we can change ourselves, our attitudes, even our world if we put our minds and bodies to the task.
These earrings are made from found deer antler that I cut into small slices and polish smooth. Each unique antler gem hangs on a handmade recycled sterling silver ear wire, with a small reclaimed brass bead at the bottom.
Approximately 1 7/8" long and 7/16" wide.
All jewelry is handmade from a minimum of 50% reclaimed materials. Because of the nature of handmade objects, the item you receive will vary slightly from the photograph.Read April Hale’s bio here
