Note from the Artist

My name is Leslie Cavell Trimble and I have been doing art since I was two. There was no hope for me to be anything but an artist of some sort. At the age of 35, living in North Carolina, I discovered making pottery and that was it. I have been doing it ever since. I am not going to say for how long, but it has been quite a while. (Oh, ok.. 42 years so far!) I will probably make pottery until I drop over.

My uncle, for whom I am named, was an engineer for Ford. After he retired, he worked for an international tile company as an engineer. He started working for them at 70! He was a really good engineer. He worked for the tile company until he was 91 and then started working in his studio, making glass and tile sculptures until he passed at 92. I am planning to grow up to be just like him. I love doing the work and it keeps me in shape and keeps me thinking. A good formula for life.

Everything I make is food-safe and can be washed in the dishwasher. Microwave and oven are not recommended. Thank you for your interest in my work. I loved every second of doing it!
