Note from the Artist: Rachel started this piece after a hike into these mountains. Bright late summer paintbrush stands in contrast to turquoise waters, and the deep lavender cliffs of a pyramidal peak in the background. Indian Paintbrush are her favorite flower because they bloom in such a splendid array of colors from pale orange to deep magenta, depending on the amount of moisture in the soil.
