Note from the Artist: The inspiration behind this piece was one of the last bouquets I harvested from my garden this fall, before our first hard frost. Every year, as the growing season comes to an end, there’s a bittersweet stretch of time when you know that the deep cold will be here at any moment, but it hasn’t come yet! The hardier flowers remain for one day longer. This is my favorite time of year–the most precious, beautiful, wistful time.
